OUR AUTHORS AND THEIR WORKS

EMILY KNIFE MSN, RN

Co-Founder of Nurses for Nurses, published author and fearless innovator, Emily has redefined what it means to be a nurse in today’s world - breaking barriers, creating new career paths, and empowering nurses to heal themselves while they heal others. Her work isn’t just about education; it’s about liberation. Through her books, courses, and global community, she is leading a movement where nurses no longer have to choose between their passion and their well-being.

Jen Crow BSN, RN

Co-Founder of Nurses for Nurses, As an ER nurse and house supervisor, she was repeatedly involved in traumatic events inside hospitals with little to no support, follow-up, or resources provided for the nurses carrying that weight. Holding Space, Processing Trauma & Leading Debriefs in Healthcare was written out of that lived experience. It is a response to the gap Jen saw every day, nurses expected to move on after critical incidents without space to process, regulate, or heal.

After years of burnout within corporate healthcare, she made the bold decision to walk away and build an organization grounded in connection, empowerment, and meaningful change. Today, her work centers on helping nurses reclaim their voices, process trauma in healthier ways, and step into careers and lives that feel aligned, sustainable, and fulfilling. Her mission is simple but powerful: to inspire nurses to take control of their paths, rediscover purpose, and create lives they truly love.

Now, she helps nurses reclaim their power through storytelling, community, and compassionate coaching, guiding them from survival mode to self-alignment. Ashley is currently writing her second book titled Medicine Under the Mango Tree detailing her nontraditional path to healing and wellness.

Jennifer A. Johnson, RN

Nursing Intuition: How to Trust Your Gut, Save Your Sanity and Survive Your Career, is a book needed now more than ever. It demonstrates, from my own direct experiences, how to build resilience, develop your intuition and cultivate your confidence in a field that has gone through its own series of battles. It's a mix of academic-based information from my own training, a touch of spirituality, mixed in with a range of sordid tales pulled right from my own shiftwork.

This book is your glimpse into this world of shocking trauma, lessons learned, and all the various ways intuition showed me my true power. Using a mix of journaling, reflection, and examples I will empower the reader to start digging into their own traumas and how they have been coping up until this point.

Kathleen Bartholomew RN, MN

Ashley Scott, LPN

"Ashes, Ashes, They All Fall Down" - Systematic annihilation of every other profession. From doctors to CEOs, lawyers to firefighters, AI tech to politicians - watch nursing rise from the ashes to prove its supremacy over them all. When the fury burns through and the dust settles, only nursing remains standing.

Raw. Ruthless. Revolutionary.

These aren't just poems - they're literary fire that burns down every lie, every system, every profession that dared underestimate nursing.

The phoenix has risen. The fury has begun. The system will burn.
